"Water Voices from Around The World" receives first place Gold Award at world's largest international book awards competition. This award will be made public at a formal presentation at Book Expo America in Los Angeles on Friday, May 30th, 2008. This award is in the 'Outstanding Book of the Year' category for the book "Most Likely to Save the Planet."

Water Voices from Around The World is published in consideration and support of the UN's decade of water, and features 400 color photographs and over 100 letters and articles from 77 authors that include Susan Lisa Toch, Ph.D., M.P.H., M.A., and recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize and Stockholm Water Prize.

"Water to Drink," an Anacortes-based environmental education and community health nonprofit network is pleased to announce another benefit dance evening at The Watertown on Feb. 20, 2009 with "Spoonshine" in "Dancing our way to World Water Day". Please join us in an evening filled with terrific music, great food, silent auction and so much fun, and contributing to sustaining watersheds and the people who need them.

Proceeds from your kind donation help our water and health technical assistance, outreach and community education projects around the world. All contributions are greatly appreciated.

Suggested $50 donation, $25.00 for students or limited income. $100.00 or more will be acknowledged on our website. Checks should be made out to "Water to Drink", POB 1261, Anacortes, WA. 98221.

Donations of $2000.00 or more will receive a signed copy of our book "Water to Drink" and can be tax deductible through "Action in Sustainability" a project of our 501C3 network with A World Institute for a Sustainable Humanity (A.W.I.S.H.).
