Our focus for June was Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. that is officially observed on June 19th. Several in our community attended some of these events. Among the program at ASHHO was what Hilarie Hauptman called "A terrific, thought provoking film" about Juneteenth that she encourages all to watch. I've reserved the media room at Woodard Lane Cohousing this Thursday, June 27 at 6:30 for anyone who wants to watch it with me. I'll provide popcorn!
