South Sound New Year’s Eve Dance

This special dance usually features two bands and two callers, with a dessert potluck at the break. OCDC and Tacoma take turns hosting the New Year’s Eve Dance. Tacoma will be sponsoring in 2013, and OCDC will sponsor the dance in Olympia in 2014.

Cascade Promenade

As part of the Cascade Promenade festival of dance events along the I-5 corridor over the second weekend in March, OCDC will sponsor Saturday afternoon contra dancing at the South Bay Grange.

A Pacific Northwest Contra Dance Showcase, in Portland

Olympia Volunteer String Band Fundraiser Dance and Silent Auction

OCDC’s major annual fundraising event takes place the second Saturday in May. The all-volunteer band, directed by Jesse Partridge, always plays wonderful, danceable, fun and surprising music. The silent auction features an unusual assortment of crafts and services donated by the Northwest contra dance community. You won’t want to miss this event!
