SOUTH BAY GRANGE (SBG) RENTAL INFORMATION
THE RENTAL PROCESS IS MANAGED BY SBG VOLUNTEERS VIA EMAIL. Please follow the steps below:
- To rent a hall, the kitchen or all of the SBG, please fill out the
Rental Inquiry Form several months in advance with preferred and alternative dates.
After email is received, the SBG rental volunteer will determine if there is a date that will meet the Rental Applicant needs and if so, we will proceed with next steps and send the following documents to the Rental Applicant's email. Items a-d below must be completed and received back to the southbaygrangewa@gmail.com email to confirm the Rental Applicants request:
- Signature of Rental Application/Contract
- Sign and date the last page to confirm receipt, review and acknowledgement of the Rental Rules Checklist expectations for before, during, and after your event
- Proof of Event Insurance (often referred to as a rider), which is through homeowners, organization, or business insurance
- $100 refundable security deposit or full rental payment
- An SBG volunteer reviews the submitted documents for completion and will follow up with the Rental Applicant with any questions about the rental request - this may be via phone or email.
- If a Rental Applicant wishes to view SBG facilities in person, they are welcome to coordinate a time with the SBG volunteer rental coordinator. Scrolling down this page are pictures and facility dimensions that are helpful as well.
- Finally, upon receiving the full rental amount, proof of insurance 30 days prior to the event, and $250 damage deposit 30 days prior to the scheduled event, the rental date will be confirmed and a key code provided for entrance. The Damage Deposit will be refundable if the SBG is left clean and the Rental Rules Checklist was followed.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: If 1-4 (noted above) is not received, signed where needed, and a damage deposit is not received in a timely manner, the rental process stops, and the rental space will be made available once again to other prospective Rental Applicants.

SBG Facility Current Rental Rates
Dining hall and Kitchen:
- $500 12 hours; $300 for 4-6 hours.
Dance Hall, dining hall and kitchen:
- $800 for the whole day; $500 for 4 hours. Hourly - $200/hour.
New rental rate increase coming as of 9/1/2025
- *Discounts for participating/active South Bay Grange Members.
Regularly Scheduled Events
- The dance hall is usually booked every second and fourth Saturday for contra dances at night (4th Saturday of May is not booked for contra dances)
- Every Sunday is usually booked from 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
- Providing alternate dates in your rental request form helps us find an available date for your event!

Dining Hall
- 30' x 60' (1800 square feet total)
- Tables:
- Two 13'10" x 2'11" tables
- Five 8' x 2'6" tables
- Five 6' x 2'6" tables
- Chairs:
Kitchen
- Coffee Pot: 100 cup
- Pot for Hot Water/Tea: 30 cup
- Two Refrigerators: One with a top freezer
- Sinks: One double sink, one utility double sink, one single sink
- Stove: One electric, 30"
Dance Hall
- 30' x 60' (1800 square feet total)
- Floor: Hardwood
- Seating: Built-in bench around the perimeter
Stage
- 20'9" x 13'3" (approx. 275 square feet)
- Hallway and alcove behind stage
Bathrooms
- Separate men's and women's bathrooms
