Scones (Biscuits)

2 C Flour
1/2 t Cream of Tartar
1/2 t Bicarbonate of Soda
3 T Fat
1/2 C Sour Milk (Fresh Milk + 1/2 T Vinegar)
1/2 t Sugar
Salt to taste

Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Work in the fat. Add milk to give light springy dough. Roll to one inch thick and cut into rounds. Place on Floured sheet and bake 7 to 10 minutes near top of oven at 450 F.
