Desdra Dawning

My roots, for most of my life, sank into the warm soils of the vast open spaces of the US Southwest. In 2011, thinking I had had enough sun, I moved to the abundant lush greenness of Olympia. The idea of living in a town with two Co-op markets drew me like a magnet. Since then I have served several years on the Olympia Food Co-op Board, creating a position for myself called "Liaison to CSF," and have come to appreciate the devoted work CSF does to help local community service groups start up, grow and flourish. I love to cook good food, meditate, take walks in the woods and seashore, grow close to friends, and play with grandchildren. I love being included in the Leadership Team at CSF. It fulfills my desire to be of service to my community.
