GRuB

GRuB's Kitchen Garden Project (KGP) partners with community members and organizations in an effort to make gardening more accessible for families with limited resources.

The 2013 growing season is wrapping up. Throughout January 2014, GRuB will be accepting applications for their next season. KGP gardeners receive: three raised beds (or container gardens as appropriate), seeds, starts, free access to extensive gardening workshop series, and a connection to the greater gardening community. GRuB gardens are built March through May. GRuB provides access to the knowledge and resources needed to grow fresh, healthy, and culturally appropriate foods all season long. For more information about the Kitchen Garden Project and eligibility, visit goodgrub.org/kitchen-garden-project/apply-for-a-garden.

Have some gardening knowledge? Share it with your community! GRuB is looking for passionate community members interested in mentoring first-year KGP gardeners. Garden mentors are paired with KGP gardeners to collaborate throughout the growing season. Training is provided and mentors typically meet with gardeners once per month throughout the growing season. For more information about the Garden Mentorship program, contact (360) 753-5522 or kgp@goodgrub.org.
