Comprehensive PlanBoth the Comprehensive Plan and Shoreline Master Program are in the process of being updated. The Olympia Planning Commission completed deliberations of the Shoreline Master Program in March of 2012. The City Council will review the recommendation and adopt an updated Shoreline Master Program later this year. A draft of the Comprehensive Plan update was released on April 2, 2012. This draft is another opportunity for the community members to provide input on the Plan update while it is still in development. The comment period is open until June 12, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. All input will be considered as staff prepares a June Draft that will be the subject of public hearing(s) with the Olympia Planning Commission at the end of June 2012. The process to update the Comprehensive Plan and Shoreline Master Program involves meetings of the Planning Commission, City Council as well as community meetings and events to engage the public.
