Chair-Hiking with Alan Bauer

Come to Black Hills Audubon Society's (BHAS) monthly meeting on Thursday, May 20, and spend an evening with Alan Bauer, who, among many other things, has been a co-author/photographer for Mountaineers Books. Some of his titles include Day Hiking-Mt Rainier, Day Hiking-South Cascades, and most recently, Best Desert Hikes-Washington. His presentation will be rich in photography and full of information on his adventures in these areas as well as covering conservation issues facing trails and public lands.

BHAS membership meetings are usually held on the third Thursday of the month (exception: no March, July, or August meetings) at the Capitol Museum Coach House, 211 W. 21st Street, in Olympia. This month's (May 2010) meeting, however, will be held at the Olympia Friends Quaker Meeting House, 219 B St. SW, Tumwater. Social hour is at 7:00 pm, with programs beginning promptly at 7:30 pm. For more information contact BHAS at (360) 352-7299.
