CommitteeEarth Series Continues Through May

The CommitteeEarth Care Series: Videos, Presentations, Conversations 2009-2010 is taking place on one Wednesday night each month from now until next May. Co-sponsored by Earth Care Catholics of Olympia and Interfaith Works Earth Stewardship, the events will be held at Traditions Café, 300 5th Ave SW, Olympia, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Oct 14: "Thurston County Climate Action: What's Happening Locally?" Tom Crawford (Board Member, Thurston County Climate Team) speaking.

Nov 11: "Flow" (DVD) This award-winning documentary investigates the most important political and environmental issue of the 21st Century – The World Water Crisis.

Jan 13: "Poetry and Sustainability", Don Foran (Professor, The Evergreen State College TESC) and Kathleen Byrd (Professor South Puget Sound Community College SPSCC) speaking.

Feb 10: "Getting it RIGHT in Carbon Exchanges", Peter Dorman (Economist, The Evergreen  State College TESC) speaking.

Mar 10: "Renewal: Stories from America's Religious-Environmental Movement" (DVD).

Apr 14: "The Great Turning: From Empire to Earth Community" (DVD), a talk by Dr. David Korten.

May 12: "The Great Story" (DVD) Portrays the life and work of Thomas Berry, cultural historian and ecologian.
