Help Create Rain Gardens in Yelm, Ashford

As part of a regional effort to educate residents about the benefits and beauty of rain gardens to manage stormwater, Stewardship Partners, Nisqually River Education Project, and the Native Plant Salvage Foundation are seeking volunteers who want to learn about rain gardens while establishing new ones at local schools.

Volunteers will see each step in creating a new rain garden, and will be given free full-color rain garden manuals. They can use this knowledge to create rain gardens for themselves or friends.

Sign up to help at one of these upcoming work parties: April 26 and 27 at Yelm High School, and May 10 at Columbia Crest Elementary in Ashford. Contact Erica at 360-754-3588 ext. 110 or ericag@wsu.edu for more information.
