The Olympia Barter Faire Is Looking for Land!

The Olympia Family Barter Faire Committee is looking for about 20 acres of land to host this year's first annual Olympia Family Barter Faire. The committee is seeking land that is available for a two-week period of time, either late August or early September of this year. The two-week period includes time for preparation, clean-up, and the three-day faire itself. The goal of the faire is to create an alternative and inter-connected economic system, and to this end the committee is seeking land with open and flat areas for camping, skill sharing and places for connecting in community. The faire committee can pay a stipend to the landowners, and is committed to tending the land with gratitude and care, leaving it in better shape than when the faire arrived. For further information, leads, ideas, or volunteer interest, please contact the barter faire at barterfaire@yahoo.com, or call Jennifer Johnson at 360-867-9331. Look for faire fundraising events this summer, and the upcoming announcement of the faire’s date.
