"Dream Home" Workshop

Stream Team, the Native Plant Salvage Project, and the Eco-Builders' Guild are offering a field class for people planning to build a custom home with minimum impact.

The field class will help participants learn strategies for building that will minimize stormwater runoff and retain the natural vegetation on their lot. Eco-builders will also provide an introduction to the vast array of innovative building materials that conserve resources, minimize toxicity, and are made from recycled materials.

Following a morning of presentations, discussions, and displays, participants will visit local houses to see low-impact principles in practice. The class will be held on Saturday, November 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no charge, but advanced registration is required by calling Susie at 754-4681 or Erica at 704-7785.
