Free Salmon Education

From now through November 26, volunteer Salmon Stewards will be at various locations throughout the South Sound area to answer the public's questions about our local salmon resource. Come learn salmon biology, watershed fun facts, and what you can do to protect endangered salmon.

Salmon Stewards will be available 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Saturdays and Sundays listed below:

  • 5th Avenue Bridge: October 7, 8
  • Tumwater Falls Park: October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22
  • McLane Creek Nature Trail (Delphi Road): November 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26 -}

    McAllister Springs: Salmon Stewards are available for weekday presentations through October. To make an appointment, call Tikva Breuer at 753-8793.

    Groups larger than ten people should pre-register two weeks in advance by calling Cedar at 753-8454 or Tim at 753-8563.
