SPEECH 22nd Annual Meeting

Celebrating its 22nd year of incorporation as a nonprofit, the South Puget Environmental Education Clearinghouse (SPEECH) will hold its annual meeting with a diverse panel of local media representatives invited to explore the challenges and concerns facing alternative and corporate media outlets, and examine the coverage of local events and issues in the South Sound. The public is invited.

A panel of speakers representing a variety of local media incudes:

  • Sylvia Smith, Works in Progress
  • Toni Holm, MIXX 96 radio
  • Matthew Green, Olympia Power & Light
  • Holly Smith Peterson, Associate Editor, Business Examiner
  • Rick Crawford, Editor, Senior News
  • Deborah Vinsel, General Manager, Thurston Community Television (TCTV)
  • Janine Unsoeld, Green Pages; Little Hollywood blog
  • Jerre Redecker, Senior Editor, The Olympian -} Other media representatives have been invited and are still being confirmed.

    SPEECH board elections will also be held at this meeting.

    SPEECH, an all-volunteer environmental education and information center, sponsors forums and events and publishes the quarterly South Sound Green Pages. The Green Pages is also available online at www.oly-wa.us/greenpages.
