See Marine Wildlife at Boston Harbor's Pier Peer

Boston Harbor Marina and People For Puget Sound will host a special Earth Month evening event on Saturday, April 12. From 9 to 11 p.m., participants will get an up-close-and-personal view of some of the creatures of Puget Sound. A submersible light will be dropped off the pier into the water, illuminating jellyfish, polychaete worms, skeleton shrimp, squid, sea slugs and maybe even a harbor seal.

Make sure to dress for the weather (rain pants are suggested as you will be kneeling on the pier) and bring a flashlight. Come learn who the next bright star on the creature marquis might be! This is a family event, but all parents must keep a close eye on children. Boston Harbor Marina is located at 213 73rd Avenue NE in Olympia. For more information or to sign up, contact Gabby Byrne at 360-754-9177 or gbyrne@pugetsound.org.
