Climate Change - Olympia's Call to Action

The Olympia City Council invites the community to a thought-provoking evening with Andrew Revkin, scientific author and journalist, and Terry Tempest Williams, conservationist and author on Tuesday, October 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia, Washington. Revkin and Williams will each present 30-minute lectures and will then engage each other in a conversation about climate change moderated by Liam Moriarty, environmental reporter for National Public Radio based in Seattle. The lecture will be preceded by a Call to Action open house in The Washington Center black box beginning at 6 p.m.   At the end of the evening, both authors will be available in the lobby of The Washington Center for a book signing.   Admission is free. Advance tickets will be available for pick up at The Washington Center box office in the near future. There is a limit of four tickets per person on advance ticket pick-ups. Check the City of Olympia's website, http://www.olympiawa.gov beginning September 1 for more details on tickets.
