Free Compost Workshops, All Levels

Learn how to recycle your food and yard wastes at free compost workshops taught by Master Composters

The Green Cone workshop is to learn a simple method of reducing food waste, without reaping compost. The Worm Bin workshop is a fun way to compost food scraps and reap a natural fertilizer (worm castings) for the soil. The Yard Waste workshop includes composting yard and food waste together and how to use finished compost.

April 21 classes are located at Closed Loop Park, and May 19 classes and Open House/Plant Sale are located at Dirt Works (see directions below).

Both dates will have the same morning workshops: Green Cone at 10:30 a.m., Yard Waste at 11 a.m., and Worm Bins at 12 p.m.

Additionally, the May 19 workshop will also have the following workshops: Green Cone at 1 p.m., Yard Waste at 1:30 p.m., and Worm Bins at 2:30 p.m.
