Capitol Lake Environmental Impact Statement Available

The Department of General Administration has announced the availability of the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Capitol Lake Adaptive Management Plan. The Final EIS described the six possible alternatives for managing Capitol Lake in the future.

The nine-member CLAMP Steering Committee reviewed all 158 public comments. After considering them, the Committee determined that a preferred alternative could not be selected at present. Instead, new information will be collected over the next few years, after which time the Steering Committee is committed to selecting a preferred alternative.

The Final EIS is now available for $5 from Thurston Regional Planning Council, 2404 Heritage Court SW #B, Olympia, WA, 98502. In early June, the Final EIS will be available at the General Administration home page: http://www.ga.wa.gov
