Health Effects of Climate Change

Dr. Ring, who was trained at Yale and Columbia Universities, is part of a team of cyclists on a pedal-powered speaking tour
from Washington State to Washington D.C. with Climate 911.org, a national organization of physicians dedicated to raising the alarm
about climate change as a public health emergency.
The group, travelling via part of the proposed route for coal export to China in Washington and Montana and the proposed path of
the XL Pipeline in South Dakota and Nebraska is collecting endorsements of their prescription from health professionals across the country
and will deliver them to lawmakers when they arrive in Washington, DC.
The event is sponsord by Physicians for Social Responsibility, Olympia FOR Confronting the Climate Crisis, and Transition Olympia.
