Join us for an amazing three day jam packed summer camp
Each summer we hold a camp. They used to be for three days, now we have one evening and the next day. Usually a Friday night and Saturday. We hold them at a local college usually. Scholarships are available.
Topics that may be covered include:
Organizing Skills
- Nonviolent Direct Action Basics
- Grassroots Organizing (facilitation skills, outreach, etc)
- Campaign Strategy Sessions
- Art in Action; films and discussion groups; website development
- "Know Your Rights" trainings
- Non violent civil disobedience, what it is and is not; range of activities

Globalization
- The impact of free trade in Latin America; select one country. CISPES or other organizations or individuals visit to discuss what they learned from a recent visit.
- Resistance globally, case study of events following one of the major protests. What is effective; what can we do locally.
- Buy Local movements, local economies, food growth and distribution.
- Connecting the dots: The Middle East trade agreements, peak oil and the war in Iraq.
